KofarmaTees
A series of 10 tee shirts, each dyed with natural indigo by Baba at the traditional dye pits at Kofar Mata in Kano. In Kano, women made the designs and men did the dye-ing, a tradition this collection keeps alive. Sold to various people. My daughter, Zurain, made cameos.

The Agana Collection
I call this "Blue", after Miles Davis' influential 1959 Kind of Blue album. Made for my sister Oyinna Agana (known as Osondi Owendi on Facebook). This collection was my first collaboration with Baba, a traditional dye expert at Kofar Mata, Kano. Three of the designs were dyed at Kofar Mata using natural indigo. Can you guess which was dyed with synthetic dye?
